This was my first spherical panorama which cover 360 horizontal and 180 vertical panorama.
The equipment i used in taking the picture for panorama are Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 (sponsor by roomate), small tripod (sponsor by Venice), and string with some weight on one end and rubber band on the other end. I choose to use my messy room as the 1st spherical panorama because more comfort to try it at place without other people around and also with tiny tripod.
since i don't have the panoramic tripod...so it is difficult to capture spherical panorama...
1st attach the rubber band to the focal point of your camera and mark a point on floor to maintain the focal point to the mark when rotate the tripod...or refer the video from this video or refer this website...set a suitable exposure and white balance to prevent difficulty when stitching the picture...i capture 3 horizontal row (with around 12 picture per row) picture of my room and 1 top, 1 bottom picture from the mark ...the picture taken between must overlap around 30 - 50% for the stitching process...
the software i used to stitching is Hugin which is free from this website or other alternative like Adobe Photoshop and many more. Than i used photoshop to edit the equirectangular become seamless...but there still have some part are seam...because i already tired to editing it ...After the equirectangular projection done...you may upload it to this 360 cities website or other website which make it become spherical view and able to share with other..you also can make the equirectangular projection to become spherical panorama which able to view by Flash player or QuickTime player by using the Pano2VR software or other...
you can use the "Control" key to zoom out and "Shift" key to zoom in...
